Family Snowmobile Safari with Kids’ Mini-Snowmobiles in Levi

Unlike many family snowmobile safari where children spend the whole journey in a sled, this experience gives them their own turn behind the handlebars on a private mini-snowmobile track.
The safari
The safari house is in a private forest clearing just minutes from Levi. Arriving there already shifts the mood - it is a proper wilderness setting, quiet and tucked away. The route runs on a mix of public marked trails and sections of privately owned land accessible only to STG guests, covering approximately 25 km in about one hour of riding.
Part 1 - Snowmobile safari
Adults drive their own snowmobiles; children under 130 cm ride safely in a sled pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. When the sled is in use, the whole group travels at 20–25 km/h. The route winds through snow-covered forest and across open Arctic terrain, with the guide leading throughout.
Part 2 - Mini snowmobiles and kota
The midway stop is at a private kota set on a frozen open swamp - spacious, clearly visible terrain with scattered small trees, ideal for young riders. The kota is pre-heated and ready on arrival, with an open fire already going. Three mini-snowmobiles are available, sized for different ages:
Arctic Cat ZR120 - for children from age 3+
Arctic Cat ZR200 - for children from age 5+
Polaris 550 Indy 121 Evo - for children from age 10+
Mini-snowmobiles are operated on a specially prepared private track under close supervision of STG guides. Speed is limited for safety. If several children of similar age participate, they take turns so every child gets a ride.
While the children ride, parents warm up inside the kota - prepared and warmed in advance, with a ready open fire - grill sausage and have a hot drink. After the stopover, the group returns together on snowmobiles.
Note: children drive mini-snowmobiles only in the designated area. During the safari route, they ride in the sleigh.
